Great Lakes Terrestrial Invasive Species Committee (GL-TISC)
US Fish & Wildlife Service, Chair
Who we are
The Great Lakes Terrestrial Invasive Species Committee (GL-TISC) is a multi-agency committee formed under the direction of the Midwest Natural Resources Group (MNRG). In 2006, the GL-TISC created an action plan to address the threats of terrestrial invasive species through cooperative and collaborative processes. The committee is focused on nine elements essential to successful invasive species management.
Where we work
The GL-TISC is concentrating its efforts on watersheds of the Great Lakes Basin. However, as many of the tools needed for management are appropriate in other areas of the Midwest region, the products created will be useful on a much broader scale.
